PREREQUISITES:

Must be a minimum of 16 years of age by the first day of your class.

Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the English language in order to clearly communicate with a patient, family or by-stander.

Have no physical or mental impairment that would render them unable to perform all practical skills required.

May not have been convicted or found guilty of any crime, offense or regulatory violation, or participated in any other prohibited conduct identified in state EMS regulations. (12VACS-31-910)
